Definite Article

The, is used in English in front of a noun when we know exactly what we are referring to:
Example
The dog | The dogs |
The girl | The girls |
There are two ways to pronounce the article THE.
-Pronounce THE as “thee” if the next word starts with a vowel sound
Examples:
The Hotel |
The orange |
-Pronounce THE as “thuh” if the next word starts with a consonant sound
*Pronunciation Tips, just remember what it matters is the sound with which starts the first word, for this pronunciation rule.
So for example the word MRI when pronounced sounds as /ˌɛm ɑr ˈaɪ/, so starting with the sound E that is a vowel.
Just keep practising will be easier to memorize.
The Article must not be used when:

The Article can be used when:
