Google Lunar X Prize
Or Moon 2.0 is a competition organized by X Prize and Sponsored by Google. Objective of this competition is that Privately funded teams has to design , develop and launch privately funded robotic spacecrafts and land on the surface of the moon and travel 500 m and send back images and other data back to earth.
Rewards for the winner is $20m , $5m for second place and $4m for technical bonuses and $1m diversity award.
SO far 5 teams have remained in the competition out of 29 teams.
