Can be used as an adjective followed by a noun. Example  

We have some wine in the cellar.  

Can be used in affirmative sentences and interrogatives (questions) when we
make an offer or a request. Example:  

Would you like some tea?
Can I have some salt please?  

When there is a pronoun some is not followed by a noun. Example:  

(There is some juice)
There is some.  

In this case someone is a pronoun, implies the name juice.  

The above rules apply for some and its compounds: somebody, something, somewhere,  someone etc.

Please notice with negative sentences you can use either Any or No.

1. Any with the verb in the negative form
